Give a Dog Their Do-Over – be part of the rescue revolution
At Rover's Do Over, we're more than a rescue – we're a movement of compassion, unity, and hope for misguided, mistreated, and misunderstood dogs in Central NY. In 2025 alone, we rescued 254 dogs, facilitated 231 adoptions, and provided life-saving care without a physical facility or grants. Over two years, that's over 482 lives transformed – broken spirits rebuilt, medical miracles achieved, and families forever changed. Powered by volunteers, fosters, and donors like you, we're redefining animal welfare in our community.

Why donate to rover's do over
Proven Impact: 254 dogs rescued in 2025, with 86% of expenses on veterinary care (averaging $483 per dog). We handled over 40 special medical cases, 8 cruelty investigations, and diverted 141 strays from Oneida County shelters – all at no required cost to municipalities.
Tax-Deductible Perks: As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and NYS registered charity, your gift is fully tax-deductible—feel good knowing you're helping and saving on taxes!
Transparency & Trust: Honored with awards like the Utica Police Civilian Award, Best of the Best Nonprofit in Mohawk Valley, and Community Voted Gold in Non-Profit – because we deliver results through partnerships with cities like Utica and Rome.
Direct to Dogs: 100% volunteer-run and foster-based – no overhead. Donations fund vet bills, spay/neuter surgeries, food, foster supplies, and our future intake facility to help even more pups.
