Rover's Do Over is REDEFINING the role that animal rescues play in our community.
Our Process
Rover’s Do Over is a hybrid animal rescue that utilizes both its physical location and foster homes. While we are a foster-based rescue, our headquarters acts as our "home base" for incoming animals, volunteers and special need animals.
As a limited admission rescue, we prioritize shelter transfers but also take owner surrenders on a case-by-case basis. We understand that every situation is unique, and we treat each situation accordingly.
At RDO, a pet's well-being is our top priority. We carefully evaluate each animal on an individual basis. Upon arrival, all dogs are categorized into one of three groups: fast track, medical special needs, or behavior special needs. Depending on the category, we then implement specific steps tailored to each dog. This process, known as Pathway Planning, is crucial in ensuring a streamlined rehabilitation and adoption process. We create a customized, comprehensive plan for every dog to address their mental, physical, and emotional needs. This thoughtfully crafted plan not only helps our staff determine the most suitable living situation for the animal but also shapes their daily routine moving forward. Pathway Planning is a fundamental step in helping our dogs in need of a “do-over” put their best paw forward.
